CNN Central News & Network-ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: Senior poet and fiction writer, Director of Vishwa Rang and Chancellor of Rabindranath Tagore University Santosh Choubey was honoured with the prestigious ‘Karmaveer Samman – 2026’ at a ceremony organised by the Madhavrao Sapre Memorial Newspaper Museum and Research Institute, Bhopal, on the occasion of its 43rd foundation day.
The felicitation ceremony was held at the Sapre Museum, Bhopal, under the chairmanship of Raghunandan Sharma, working president of Tulsi Manas Pratishthan. On the occasion, Dr Jawahar Karnavat, Director of the university’s Tagore International Hindi Centre and a scholar of global Hindi journalism, was also presented the Karmaveer Samman. Scholars of history and archaeology Dr Subhash Atre, culture expert Shriram Tiwari and senior journalist Nurul Hasan ‘Noor’ were also honoured.
The guests also launched the ‘Sahitya se Itihas’ division, based on literature provided by Shambhudayal Guru, former director of the Madhya Pradesh Archives. On the occasion, Vishwa Rang, Rabindranath Tagore University’s important book ‘Vishva Mein Hindi’, an assessment of the status of Hindi in 70 countries of the world, was presented to the guests.
