CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: On the occasion of National Youth Day, a grand felicitation ceremony was organized by Hansraj College, University of Delhi, at the Main Auditorium of Vigyan Bhavan, New Delhi, where senior poet–storyteller, Director of Vishwarang, and Chancellor of Rabindranath Tagore University, Santosh Choubey, was honoured with the Mahatma Hansraj National Award–2026.
This honour was conferred upon Santosh Choubey by former Union Education Minister of India, Shri Ramesh Pokhriyal ‘Nishank’, in recognition of his creative and innovative contributions at the global level in the fields of education, entrepreneurship, innovation, the Hindi language, literature, culture, and the arts.
It is noteworthy that Santosh Choubey, a poet–storyteller, novelist, editor, and translator, enjoys a distinct global identity for his innovative creative projects and initiatives. With the objective of promoting the Hindi language and Indian culture, he launched the international “Vishwarang” Festival from Bhopal in 2019, which today has more than 65 member countries. After Mauritius, he recently organized the seventh grand edition of Vishwarang in Sri Lanka, Mumbai, and Bhopal, laying a strong foundation for the global expansion of Hindi.
Santosh Choubey has been honoured with several prestigious international awards, including the Max Müller International Decoration–2025 (Netherlands), Vishwa Hindi Shikhar Samman–2024 (Singapore), the prestigious international Bharat Gaurav Award–2024 (France), Vatayan UK International Summit Award–2023 (London), and the Lifetime Achievement Award–2023 by a renowned institution in the United States.
For his literary works, Santosh Choubey has received the Dushyant Kumar Award from the Madhya Pradesh Sahitya Parishad for poetry (“Kahin Aur Sach Honge Sapne”), the Spandan Alochana Samman for criticism (“Kala Ki Sangat”), the Madhya Pradesh Rashtrabhasha Prachar Samiti Award for translation (“Moscow Diary”), and the Shailesh Matiyani Award along with the International Valley of Words Award for his novel (“Jaltarang”). For his overall literary contribution, he has been decorated with the National Dushyant Alankaran, Shivmangal Singh Suman Samman, and the All India Brahmadatt Tiwari Memorial Award–2024.
On the occasion of the Mahatma Hansraj National Award–2026, heartfelt congratulations were extended to Santosh Choubey by the Vishwarang Foundation, Tagore International Hindi Centre, Overseas Indian Literature and Culture Research Centre, Tagore World Art and Culture Centre, Rabindranath Tagore University, Scope Global Skills University, Dr. C. V. Raman University (Bilaspur), institutions at Khandwa and Vaishali, AISECT University (Hazaribagh), AISECT Publications, Vanmali Srijan Peeth, Vanmali Srijan Centres, and several allied organizations associated with literature, art, and culture.
