CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal/ Ujjain : A grand ‘Saraswat Samman 2025’ ceremony was held at the Golden Jubilee Auditorium of Vikram University, Ujjain. On this occasion, Rajesh Singh Kushwaha, a member of the University Executive Council, addressed the gathering as the chief guest. He stated, “Chief Minister Mohan Yadav envisions Vikram University as a distinguished institution that excels at every level.” He called upon everyone to wholeheartedly work towards achieving this goal.
The ceremony was graced by Vice Chancellor Arpan Bhardwaj, Registrar Anil Sharma, and Executive Council members Varun Gupta, Roop Pamnani, Sanjay Verma, Manjusha Mimarot, Kusumlata Nigwal, S.K. Mishra, Deepak Gupta, Kamran Sultan, Alka Vyas, along with several senior university officials, professors, researchers, and guest faculty.
Vice Chancellor Bhardwaj remarked, “This university is the karmabhoomi (land of action) of the Chief Minister and has now entered the Amrit Kaal (Golden Era). This is a moment of pride that must be used for the benefit of both students and faculty.”
Executive Council member Varun Gupta emphasized the importance of combining traditional values with the holistic development of students. Meanwhile, Roop Pamnani described the Chief Minister’s ongoing commitment to the university as a form of Guru Dakshina (sacred offering to one’s teacher).
Dr. Hemant Lodwal highlighted that due to CM Yadav’s efforts, the university has now been renamed Samrat Vikramaditya University and has been sanctioned ₹100 crore under the PM-USHA (Prime Minister’s Scheme for University Support and Harmony) initiative. The university has achieved notable milestones in academics, research, sports, and infrastructure.
The event was conducted by Ruchika Khandelwal, and the vote of thanks was presented by Ajay Sharma. During the program, various university departments honored the distinguished guests with shawls and coconut offerings, bestowing them with the Saraswat Samman.
