The closing ceremony of the annual festival ‘Bhavya 2024-25’ at Sarojini Naidu Government Girls Postgraduate (Autonomous) College was marked by the grand celebration of ‘Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat: Cultural Carnival.’ The event was graced by the presence of Inder Singh Parmar, Minister of Higher Education, Technical Education & AYUSH, and Chetas Sukhadia, Regional Organization Secretary of ABVP (Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad).
Also present were Bharti Kumbhare Satankar, Chairperson of the College Janbhagidari Committee, and College Principal Deepti Srivastava.
Cultural Carnival Highlights
The cultural carnival showcased the rich cultural heritage of various Indian states, with over 100 students participating in 18 groups.
The winners of the cultural competition were:

🥈 Second Place: West Bengal Group
🥉 Third Place: Maratha Group
The event also featured various sports competitions, in which faculty members, students, and guests enthusiastically participated.

Higher Education Minister Inder Singh Parmar emphasized the need for universities and colleges to document and enrich ancient Indian knowledge through research and studies. He highlighted the sacrifices of tribal heroes in India’s freedom struggle, encouraging pride in their valor and contributions.
Minister Parmar stated:
“Just as India is carving a new path of development under the leadership of the President on the global stage, this college, under the leadership of its daughters, is also moving towards becoming an inspiring and ideal institution. This institute will serve as a center for transforming social perceptions about daughters.”
He also praised the tribal research center’s paintings created by female students, calling them commendable. He remarked that:
“The tradition of Saraswati Puja in educational institutions symbolizes respect and faith in feminine power. India is the only country in the world where character-building is prioritized, and our educational institutions serve as the foundation for this noble pursuit.”
Minister Parmar extended his greetings to the students on International Women’s Day.
