CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: On the second day of the Diksharambh program, a disaster management training session was conducted under the leadership of the Commanding Officer of 4 MP Girls Battalion NCC and the guidance of Principal Dr. Deepti Srivastava of Sarojini Naidu Government Girls Postgraduate College, Bhopal.

The training was provided by the NDRF (National Disaster Response Force) team to the college’s NCC cadets, NSS volunteers, and newly admitted students.

Inspector G.D. Nilesh Diwania, NDRF Team In-Charge, led the session and gave detailed information about various types of disasters and the methods of self-protection as well as assisting others during such emergencies.

The students were trained in:

First aid

CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation)

Fire safety techniques, among others.

The training included hands-on demonstrations and practical exercises to ensure effective learning.

Additionally, a tree plantation drive was conducted in the college campus to spread the message of environmental conservation.

Principal Dr. Deepti Srivastava expressed gratitude to the NDRF team for providing this specialized training and raising awareness among the students.

60 NCC cadets

20 NSS volunteers
