CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal : The Shri Krishna Janmashtami Festival was celebrated with great enthusiasm in the college auditorium. The program was organized under the guidance of Principal Deepti Srivastava. The event began with the offering of a flower garland and lighting of the lamp by Acting Principal Dr. Rajni Srivastava and Pandit Dr. Surendra Bihari Goswami before the idol of Lord Krishna in his child form seated on a cradle.
The audience was spiritually enriched by the divine discourse of Pandit Dr. Surendra Bihari Goswami. He narrated a story from the Bhagavata Purana, where Lord Shiva visited Nanda’s house in Gokul to have a glimpse of baby Krishna, and Mother Yashoda granted him darshan — symbolizing the union of Hari (Krishna) and Hara (Shiva). The atmosphere echoed with chants of Har Har Mahadev and Hari Shri Krishna.

Acting Principal Dr. Rajni Srivastava congratulated everyone on the occasion and also participated in the symbolic rocking of Krishna’s cradle. A beautiful dance performance was presented by Manasi and her group from the Department of Dance, which added grandeur to the celebration.

All the faculty members and students of the college were present in the auditorium. The program was conducted by Ashok Nema, and the vote of thanks was delivered by Sanjana Sharma, Coordinator of the Indian Knowledge Tradition Cell. Devotional songs performed by Music Department faculty Neena Srivastava, including Yashoda Hari Palna Jhulaave, delighted everyone. Finally, the students performed the traditional Matki Phod (breaking the pot), filling the environment with joy and energy. A large number of students, teachers, and staff attended the celebration.
