CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: On the occasion of Kargil Vijay Diwas, a solemn ceremony was organized at Sarojini Naidu Government Girls’ Postgraduate Autonomous College, Bhopal, to honor the bravery, sacrifice, and patriotism of the Indian soldiers martyred in the Kargil War (1999). The event commenced with the worship of Goddess Saraswati and the ceremonial lighting of the lamp.

The program was organized by the college’s student union committee, with enthusiastic participation from students of the NCC and NSS units, who expressed their patriotism and sense of social responsibility.

The chief guest of the event was Mr. Vaibhav Panwar, State President of the Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM). Also gracing the event were Mr. Ajay Patidar, District President of BJYM, and Dr. Bharti Kumbhare Satankar, Chairperson of the College’s Janbhagidari Committee. Their presence added dignity to the ceremony.

Chief Guest Mr. Vaibhav Panwar paid tribute to the supreme sacrifice of Kargil war heroes, including Param Vir Chakra awardee Captain Vikram Batra, and emphasized the significant role of the Indian Army in safeguarding the nation. He encouraged the students to walk the path of national service and dedication.

Dr. Bharti Kumbhare Satankar extended her greetings on Kargil Vijay Diwas and inspired the students to adopt a spirit of devotion to the country and a courageous mindset.

College Principal Dr. Deepti Srivastava expressed gratitude to all the guests and shared the glorious military history of July 26, 1999. She stated that Kargil Vijay Diwas is not just a commemorative day but a sacred occasion to remember the eternal saga of valor, sacrifice, and patriotism.

The program was conducted by Ranjana Upadhyay. On this occasion, students, faculty, and all staff members were present in the auditorium.
