CNN Central News & Network-ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: Bhopal: Satellite images from September 8, 2026, showed a reduced presence of clouds over nearly 90 percent of the country. The impact is more visible in north-west and central India, while eastern parts of the country remain under cloud cover. Weather experts see this as an indication of weakening monsoon activity. However, the official withdrawal of the monsoon has not yet begun.

Meanwhile, several districts of Bihar continue to face flood-like conditions due to heavy rainfall and rising river levels, with lakhs of people reported to have been affected. This means that despite reduced cloud cover over a large part of the country, heavy rainfall is continuing locally in some areas.
