CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress / ITDC News Bhopal: A Continuing Medical Education (CME) program on the theme “Save Heart–Save Lives” was organized at the Dr. Kailash Nath Katju Maternal and Child Health Institute. The institute’s Nodal Officer and Center Head, Dr. Rachna Dubey, informed that the objective of the program was to create awareness among hospital staff regarding heart health, prevention of heart attacks, and the essential steps to be taken during a heart attack emergency.

During the CME session, cardiologist Dr. R. S. Meena delivered a detailed presentation on identifying heart attacks and the immediate actions required afterward. Dr. Avdhesh Khare shared important insights on diabetes, high blood pressure, cardiac arrest, and heart health awareness, highlighting major risk factors associated with heart diseases and preventive measures.

Dr. Rachna Dubey stated that CME programs would now be organized regularly every fifteen days at the Kailash Nath Katju Maternal and Child Health Institute. These sessions will provide doctors and nursing staff with updated knowledge on various healthcare subjects and medical specializations. The initiative aims to continuously enhance the knowledge and skills of healthcare professionals so that patients can receive improved and more effective treatment.

Dr. Dubey further said that this is a new initiative by Katju Hospital, which will continue in the future on a regular basis. She added that the recently organized CME was the first CME program of Katju Hospital and marks an important beginning for future academic and training activities.

The program was attended by the institute’s Nodal Officer and Center Head Dr. Rachna Dubey, the Superintendent, doctors, nursing staff, and office employees. Through the program, all participants were encouraged to remain aware about heart health and to take timely preventive measures when required.
