CNN Central News & Network-ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: Bhopal: On the occasion of World Environment Day, State Bank of India (SBI), Bhopal Circle, organised large-scale tree plantation and awareness programmes across the circle, reaffirming its commitment to environmental protection, conservation of natural resources and sustainable development. Through these programmes, a message of environmental responsibility was conveyed to employees and the wider community.
The main programme was held at Rewa Campus in Bhopal, where Chief General Manager of SBI Bhopal Circle Prabhash Kumar Subuddhi and General Manager (Network-III) Manoj Kumar inaugurated the event by planting saplings. On the occasion, they highlighted the importance of environmental conservation and said that fulfilling our responsibility towards nature is a moral duty for all of us, and every individual should resolve to plant more trees in life and take care of them.
An important feature of the programme was the collective recitation of the SBI Sustainability Pledge. In all offices and branches of Bhopal Circle, officers and employees pledged to adopt environment-friendly work practices, conserve natural resources, save energy and water, reduce waste and promote sustainable development.
Tree plantation programmes were also organised at all administrative offices, regional business offices and branches under Bhopal Circle. Employees participated enthusiastically, planted saplings of various species and demonstrated their active role in environmental conservation. These efforts are aimed at increasing green cover, promoting biodiversity and strengthening the sense of environmental responsibility in society.

State Bank of India considers environmental protection an important part of its social responsibility and sustainable development policy. In this direction, the bank has been consistently making efforts for nature conservation through green initiatives, energy conservation, promotion of digital banking and other environment-friendly activities.
The programmes organised on World Environment Day reflect SBI Bhopal Circle's unwavering commitment to environmental protection.
