CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: Executive Professor Ajay Singh of AIIMS believes that it is very important to teach children the skills to handle emergency situations from an early age so that they can face any challenge head-on in the future. By learning small things, they can save lives. In this regard, students of classes 11th and 12th from St. Raphael Co-Ed School participated at AIIMS to understand the work of the trauma and emergency department. They were informed about the entire medical process, from patient registration to treatment. The students received training in CPR, which stands for cardiopulmonary resuscitation. It is a form of first aid that can save a person’s life if they have difficulty breathing or stop breathing and become unconscious.

Additionally, the students were introduced to various aspects of emergency medical care so that they can assist themselves and those around them in emergency situations. Dr. Yunus, along with Dr. Bhupeshwari and Dr. Ankita from the emergency department, explained how patients are treated in the department.

Students from St. Raphael Co-Ed School met with Dr. Ajay Singh of AIIMS and addressed their queries. Prof. Singh inspired the students, saying that by learning first aid, they can not only save lives but also gain self-confidence. He mentioned that AIIMS is planning to conduct such awareness programs on a large scale. In this sequence, AIIMS is organizing the “EM India-24 Conference” on emergency medicine from August 7 to 11.
