School friendship turns into marriage, Sandeep Singh to take seven vows with Meghna

Uttar Pradesh government’s Minister of State for Basic Education (Independent Charge), Sandeep Singh, is set to get married soon. His marriage has been fixed with Meghna Chaudhary, who lives in Ghaziabad. The two first met while studying at Delhi Public School. An acquaintance that began during their school days is now set to become a family relationship.
Sandeep Singh is the grandson of former chief minister and senior BJP leader Kalyan Singh. He is also the MLA from Aligarh’s Atrauli assembly seat. Meghna Chaudhary’s family, meanwhile, is originally connected with Tarapur village in the Gonda block of Aligarh district. Most members of her family currently live in Ghaziabad. Meghna had gone abroad to study law.
Talks between the families over the marriage began in 2024. Initially, there were some family hurdles, but later both sides reached an agreement. According to the schedule, Sandeep Singh and Meghna Chaudhary will get engaged on November 14 in Aligarh’s Talanagari area. At the same ceremony, Sandeep’s younger brother Saurabh Singh Verma will also get engaged to Antara Tyagi.
The marriages of both brothers are proposed to be held in Delhi on November 27. Sandeep Singh, along with his family, has also met Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and invited him to the ceremony. The Chief Minister has agreed to attend the programmes.
