CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: To showcase the contributions of the city’s leading scientific, research, and development institutions in enhancing the quality of life of the common people under one roof, the Regional Science Center, Bhopal organized the Science Festival and the Center’s 30th Anniversary celebrations at its campus.
The festival featured 18 scientific institutions from Bhopal and beyond, including IISER Bhopal, EPCO Bhopal, ICAR-IIPR Bhopal, NID Bhopal, IGRMS Bhopal, MP State Biodiversity Board Bhopal, CSIR-AMPRI Bhopal, NIFT Bhopal, HEG Limited Mandideep, CRISP Bhopal, RRCAT Indore, AIIMS Bhopal, IMD Bhopal, CIPET Bhopal, RMNH Bhopal, Energy Development Corporation Bhopal, MPCST Bhopal, and RGPV Bhopal. These institutions showcased their products and technologies at their respective stalls.
The program concluded with a valedictory ceremony graced by IISER Bhopal Director Professor Gobardhan Das as the chief guest. In his address, Dr. Das emphasized India’s rich scientific and technological heritage, urging the youth to overcome inferiority complexes and aspire to become global leaders in these fields.
Professor Amitabh Pandey, Director of Indira Gandhi Rashtriya Manav Sangrahalaya (IGRMS), attended as the special guest and praised the Regional Science Center’s remarkable effort in bringing various state scientific institutions together for public benefit. Umesh Kumar Rustagi, Director of Nehru Science Center, Mumbai, highlighted the importance of visiting science museums, which can profoundly impact young minds and inspire them toward exploration.
The event’s director, Saket Singh Kaurav, provided a brief overview of the program. The valedictory ceremony concluded with the dignitaries honoring members of the participating stakeholder organizations with certificates and mementos.
Over the three-day program, approximately 5,000 visitors, including students, teachers, parents, and the general public, attended the event.
