CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: “Scoop Global Skills University (SGSU) and National Restaurant Association of India (NRAI) jointly launched the ‘Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) program in Hospitality and Restaurant Management’ at the university’s auditorium.
The event was attended by the Principal Secretary of the Madhya Pradesh Tourism and Culture Department, Mr. Shiv Shekhar Shukla, as the chief guest, along with the Co-Head of NRAI Bhopal Chapter, Mr. Sachin Agrawal, the Chancellor of Scoop Global Skills University, Mr. Siddharth Chaturvedi, and the Vice Chancellor of SGSU, Mr. Ajay Bhushan.
Among other dignitaries present were Mr. Prakash Chandra Rout from PSSCIVI, Dr. Ayush Nanda from Mahatma Gandhi National Fellow, Secretary of NRAI Bhopal, and the founder of F for Fries, Mr. Garvit Agrawal, along with the Secretary of the SGSU, Mr. Suresh Kumar Sinha.
Speaking at the occasion, Mr. Shiv Shekhar Shukla stated that introducing an extensive course in Hospitality and Restaurant Management is a pioneering initiative by SGSU. It’s an important step towards providing a skilled workforce in this sector.
We are witnessing a rise in events and increasing trends in traveling post-COVID. In this context, meeting international standards of safety and hygiene is essential. It’s crucial for individuals to understand what this course entails, which will be possible through it.
He also invited NRAI to join the ‘Learn and Earn’ program.
Mr. Ajay Bhushan, Vice Chancellor of SGSU, elaborated on the new course, stating that the three-year curriculum will involve education in the first year on campus, followed by hands-on industry experience in the second and third years.
Mr. Sachin Agrawal, Co-Head of NRAI Bhopal, emphasized that the collaboration with Scoop Global Skills University marks an important milestone. People working in the restaurant industry often struggle with education. For them, understanding what they are doing and thinking beyond their salary is crucial. If a person has skills and education, growth becomes easier.
Dr. Siddharth Chaturvedi, Chancellor of SGSU, highlighted that through the BBA program in Hospitality and Restaurant Management, they have initiated an ideal course aligned with the industry. They aim to start similar courses tailored to other sectors. He expressed gratitude to the NRAI team for their leadership provided.”
