Scope Global Skills University, Bhopal, through its School of Pharmaceutical Sciences, organized a special session as part of the 64th National Pharmacy Week 2025.
The session focused on this year’s theme: “The Role of Pharmacists in Vaccination.” It highlighted the significant role pharmacists play in immunization awareness, public health, and promoting vaccination, with detailed discussions on their responsibilities and impact.
The event was graced by Chief Guest Dr. Shweta Kumar (Former Scientist-C, ICMR-AMS, M. Pharma, PhD, PGDHSM), Chancellor Dr. Siddharth Chaturvedi, Vice-Chancellor Dr. Vijay Singh, Registrar Dr. Sitesh Kumar Sinha, Dean Academics Dr. Vinod Kumar Gupta, Dean Student Welfare Dr. Vinod Kumar Sharma, along with Dr. Inderveer Singh and Dr. Satendra Khare.
Key Speaker Dr. Shweta Kumar delivered a highly informative lecture on the evolving responsibilities of pharmacists in vaccination and public health, strategies for increasing vaccine awareness, and the importance of immunization.
Chancellor Dr. Siddharth Chaturvedi emphasized that vaccination is today the most effective means of health protection and that pharmacists play a key role in creating awareness at the grassroots level.
Vice-Chancellor Dr. Vijay Singh and Registrar Dr. Sitesh Kumar Sinha noted that pharmacy education is not only the foundation of healthcare services but also a vital medium for promoting scientific thinking and responsible health behavior in society.
The program saw enthusiastic participation from over 60 students and faculty members. The session was highly enlightening and inspired young students to adopt responsible health service practices.
