CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: Students of the School of Humanities, Scope Global Skills University (SGSU), Bhopal, undertook an educational visit to the Madhya Pradesh Legislative Assembly. During the visit, the students observed the proceedings of the ongoing Winter Session firsthand.
The live proceedings of the Assembly provided students with a unique opportunity to closely understand democratic processes, policy decisions, issue-based discussions, and the functioning of the House. They witnessed how important public issues are debated, diverse viewpoints are presented, and policies are shaped through dialogue. This experience helped bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge acquired in classrooms and the realities of governance.
During the visit, students also learned about the architectural features, historical significance, and constitutional responsibilities associated with the Assembly building. Many students stated that observing the Assembly proceedings in person deepened their interest in governance systems, public administration, and civic responsibility.
SGSU Chancellor Siddharth Chaturvedi said that the educational visit encouraged a sense of responsible citizenship among students and helped them understand the importance of active participation in democratic processes. The students described the visit as a highly inspiring experience for their future careers—especially in public policy, civil services, and political studies.
SGSU Vice-Chancellor Vijay Singh and Registrar Sitesh Kumar Sinha remarked that firsthand exposure to the Assembly nurtures leadership qualities, understanding, and a sense of social responsibility in students, preparing them to become empowered citizens of the future.
