CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: Grand Finale of Summer Skills Carnival at Scope Global Skills University Celebrates Youth Creativity and Skill Development

As part of an initiative to promote creativity and skill development among youth, the “Summer Skills Carnival” organized by Scope Global Skills University concluded with a grand closing ceremony on Saturday. Over 60 students who successfully completed their training were awarded certificates of appreciation.

On this occasion, Prof. Vijay Singh, Vice Chancellor of Scope Global Skills University, graced the event as the chief guest. He was accompanied on stage by Registrar Sitesh Kumar Sinha and Dean of Humanities and Carnival Coordinator Dr. Tina Tiwari.

Students who underwent training showcased their talents through Kathak and other dance performances. An exhibition was also organized featuring Madhubani art, Mandana designs, and clay artworks.

In his address, Vice Chancellor Vijay Singh congratulated the students for completing the one-month training and said, “Our aim is to conduct skill-based programs and instill confidence in youth by equipping them with various practical skills.” He further added that the infrastructure at Scope Global Skills University is being developed to ensure holistic growth of students.

It is noteworthy that the Summer Skills Carnival began on May 1st, and throughout the month, various skill-based training sessions were conducted. A large number of young participants refined their creative talents across diverse disciplines.

According to Dr. Tina Tiwari, the coordinator of the Summer Skills Carnival, training was offered in the following creative areas:

Fine Arts: Clay modeling, painting, printmaking, art and craft

Designing: Design your space, cutting and stitching

Sports: Football, cricket, karate

Beauty & Wellness: Professional saree draping, mehendi, self-grooming

Performing Arts: Acting skills, Kathak, tabla, dholak, harmonium, synthesizer, singing, and dance

Spotlight: Stage anchoring and creative writing

During the sessions, expert trainers guided participants through various activities. In the stage anchoring workshop, students learned essential communication skills including verbal and body language techniques and presentation styles. They were taught the nuances of both on-stage and off-stage anchoring.

In the fine arts workshop, participants practiced drawing, clay modeling, and craftwork. The dance workshop introduced the basics of Kathak, including tatkaar (footwork), layakari (rhythmic play), and taal (rhythm cycles).

The fashion design workshop helped participants understand modern fashion trends and taught them to design and stitch garments. Meanwhile, interior design students learned how to enhance living spaces aesthetically based on modern trends.

All of these activities culminated in a final presentation during the closing session, where students showcased their newly learned skills.

The Summer Skills Carnival at Scope Global Skills University concluded with great enthusiasm, showcasing diverse skill development programs and student participation.
