CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: Srijan Sarokar Festival Celebrated at Scope Global Skills University on World Art Day

On the occasion of World Art Day, the “Srijan Sarokar Festival” was celebrated at Scope Global Skills University, Bhopal. As part of the celebration, painting and cartoon competitions were organized, in which over 100 students enthusiastically participated. Prominent participating institutions included Scope Public H.R. Secondary School, Sarojini Naidu Government Girls PG College, Sagar Public School (Katara Extension), Takshashila College, St. Joseph’s Convent School (Idgah Hills), Atal Bihari Vajpayee Hindi University, Model H.R. Secondary School, and Scope Global Skills University.

Participants brought their imagination to life through colors and lines, offering powerful expressions on social evils and contemporary issues.

Following the competitions, an Art Appreciation Workshop was held. Welcoming the guests, Dr. Arjun Kumar Singh, the event coordinator, highlighted the concept of the event, emphasizing that art forms the foundation of human culture, history, and social consciousness, and societal development is possible through its promotion.

Workshop mentor and Director Ritesh Ranjan (Head of Jagran School of Design, JLU, Bhopal) engaged with the students, stating, “Art is the only medium through which humanity can remain alive in humans. Art is also the channel through which true history can be explored. Civilizations across the world are remembered for their art, not their wars. There is no need to fear AI; it cannot destroy human creativity. What matters most today is understanding why and for what purpose we are creating art. Art can become a powerful tool for social change.”

Vice-Chancellor Vijay Singh praised the program and said, “This day is not just for artists but for everyone who values beauty and creativity in life.”

Director Drishtipal Singh Parihar added, “Art is the key to a stress-free life and provides direction to human creativity.” He also extended heartfelt gratitude to Chancellor Siddharth Chaturvedi, Vice-Chancellor Vijay Singh, Registrar Director Sitesh Kumar Sinha, Dean of Humanities and Liberal Arts Dr. Tina Tiwari, and workshop mentor Director Ritesh Ranjan for their support.

At the end of the event, Vice-Chancellor Vijay Singh and Ritesh Ranjan awarded prizes and certificates to the participants. The festival was organized by the Faculty of Humanities and Liberal Arts, Tagore School of Fine Arts, Scope Global Skills University, Bhopal. On this occasion, Registrar Sitesh Kumar Sinha extended sincere thanks to all students, faculty members, and the media team for the successful execution of the event.
