A visit to the Doordarshan Center was organized for students of Scope Global Skills University’s Media and Journalism School, Animation–Gaming–VFX School, and Team Yuvaz. The visit was conducted under the supervision of Dr. Vishakha Rajurkar and Prashant Sonare.
The visit was organized under the guidance of SGSU Chancellor Dr. Siddharth Chaturvedi, Vice-Chancellor Vijay Singh, Registrar Sitesh Kumar Sinha, and DSW Vinod Kumar Sharma. The primary objective was to familiarize students with the real operational workflow of television broadcasting, technical infrastructure, and the role of public service media.
During the visit, students explored the newsroom, Production Control Room (PCR), studio operations, editing rooms, and transmission units. Doordarshan officials provided detailed insights into news bulletin production, live broadcast techniques, program scheduling, and the standards followed by the national broadcaster.
Students gained hands-on experience in camera operation, sound management, editing, studio setup, script flow, and editorial decision-making, enhancing both their professional skills and confidence.
Chancellor Dr. Siddharth Chaturvedi stated that firsthand experience at a national broadcaster like Doordarshan strengthens students’ confidence, technical competence, and career vision, providing a solid foundation for their future as media professionals.
Vice-Chancellor Vijay Singh and Registrar Sitesh Kumar Sinha praised the initiative, highlighting that such field visits are crucial for media students as they connect them with the industry’s real working environment and better prepare them for their future media careers.
