CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: The School of Agriculture and Allied Technologies at Scope Global Skills University (SGSU), Bhopal, organized an educational visit to the Central Institute of Agricultural Engineering (CIAE), Bhopal, under the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR). The purpose of this visit was to provide students with direct and practical knowledge of modern agricultural technologies.

During the visit, students observed various departments at CIAE and learned about advanced agricultural technologies such as tractors, plowing equipment, harvesting tools, and post-harvest machinery. Demonstrations on modern processing techniques and value addition helped students understand how post-harvest losses can be minimized to increase agricultural productivity. Additionally, detailed insights were provided on bio-energy solutions and efficient agricultural energy systems, which are essential for sustainable farming.

Interactive sessions with CIAE scientists provided students with a deep understanding of the role of research and development in shaping the future of Indian agriculture. The visit also proved beneficial for teachers, enriching the curriculum and identifying potential avenues for future academic and research collaboration.

The educational visit was conducted under the guidance of SGSU Chancellor Siddharth Chaturvedi, Vice-Chancellor Vijay Singh, Registrar Satish Kumar Sinha, DSW Vinod Kumar Sharma, and NSS Officer Nitin Kumar Dhimole.

On this occasion, Chancellor Siddharth Chaturvedi stated, “Agriculture is the backbone of the country, and integrating it with modern technology, research, and innovation is a necessity today. Educational visits to prestigious institutions like ICAR–CIAE provide students with practical understanding of smart agriculture, farm mechanization, and sustainable farming systems.”

Dr. Vijay Singh and Dr. Satish Kumar Sinha added that such educational visits strengthen students’ practical understanding and prepare them for modern, technology-driven agriculture. Collaboration between educational institutions and research organizations continuously enhances the quality and effectiveness of agricultural education.

The visit was led by Dr. Indravir Singh, Head of the School of Agriculture and Allied Technologies, with Assistant Professor Shreyansh Pandey also accompanying the students.
