CNN Central News & Network-ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: On the second day of the induction programme organised at Sant Hirdaram Girls College, motivational and informative sessions were held for newly admitted students on personality development, effective communication and power dressing. The students participated enthusiastically and received important life and career-related guidance from experts.
The programme began with an inspiring address by Dr. Meenu Tahilyani, Dean, Commerce and Computer Science. Welcoming the students, she encouraged them to make the most of college life and to work continuously for the all-round development of their personality.
In the first session, senior academician and career counsellor Ms. Shweta Keswani spoke in detail on the importance of effective communication skills. She said that in the present competitive era, communication skills are the foundation of personal and professional success. Through practical examples and useful suggestions, she encouraged the students to keep developing their communication skills.
The second session began with a welcome address by Dr. Shazia Khan, Dean, Science Department. She motivated the students to participate actively in the induction programme and derive maximum benefit from it. She then welcomed fashion designer Mrs. Myra Keswani, known for her innovative designs and appealing sense of style.
Fashion designer Myra Keswani interacted with the students on the concept of power dressing. She said attire suited to one’s personality not only creates a positive first impression but also strengthens confidence, professional image and work performance. She also gave practical suggestions to the students on choosing attire according to the occasion and personality.
Principal Dr. Dalima Parwani encouraged the students to cultivate curiosity, a spirit of continuous learning and a tendency towards self-development during their college life.
All sessions on the second day of the induction programme proved highly useful and inspiring for the students. Through these sessions, they gained practical knowledge on important subjects such as effective communication, personality development, confidence and professional presentation, which will help them in their academic and future professional lives.
