CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: The Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) organized a grand civic felicitation ceremony for the representatives from Northeast India as part of the SEIL Yatra (Student Experience in Inter-State Living). Madhya Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Rajendra Shukla attended the event as the chief guest, while Atul Kulkarni, President of SEIL Trust, was the keynote speaker. Other distinguished attendees included SEIL Yatra Coordinator Rahul Mong, Welcome Committee Chairman Badam Singh, Secretary Rohit Joshi, and Municipal Corporation Chairman Kishan Suryavanshi.
Deputy CM Rajendra Shukla’s Address
In his speech, Rajendra Shukla praised ABVP’s role in uniting the nation and strengthening democracy. He described the SEIL Yatra as a symbol of Indian culture and unity, emphasizing that this initiative binds India as one nation, one people, and one culture. He further stated, “If humanity is to be safeguarded, only India can do it. To turn development into an opportunity, religion and culture must be its foundation.” Drawing an analogy, he noted that just as the northeast direction holds importance in Vastu Shastra, the northeastern region is crucial for India.
SEIL Trust President Atul Kulkarni’s Remarks
Atul Kulkarni emphasized that SEIL is not just a journey, but a program to foster mutual understanding. He highlighted that SEIL representatives are excelling in various fields like education, democracy, justice, and culture, proving the success of this initiative.
About SEIL Yatra – A National Unity Initiative
Operated by ABVP, SEIL Yatra, also known as the “National Integration Journey,” is a key effort to connect students from Northeast India with Indian culture, traditions, and lifestyle. This year, the journey spans from January 22 to February 13, 2025, with 256 students from Northeast India traveling across 32 destinations in 32 Indian states. The journey will conclude in Guwahati on February 13.

For years, ABVP’s SEIL Yatra has been strengthening the spirit of “Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat” by fostering unity in India’s cultural diversity.
