CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: On the occasion of World Environment Day, a seminar was organized at Sarojini Naidu Government Girls College, Bhopal, in collaborative partnership with the World Nature Fund and the National Service Scheme. The program commenced with a lamp lighting ceremony. The chief guest at the event was Deepti Srivastava, Principal of Sarojini Naidu College. Special guests included Ashok Kumar Shroti (Deputy Program Advisor and Regional Director), Anant Kumar Saxena (Program Coordinator), Rajkumar Verma (Youth Officer, NSS), among others.
The main speakers were Mrs. Parul Rishi (Professor, IIFM Bhopal), Amitbodh Upadhyay (Professor, LNCT Bhopal), and Vivek Pandey (Technical Expert). Their speeches covered topics such as “CSR as a Tool for Business Sustainability” and “Impact of Human Activities on Plastic Pollution.”
Winners of the poster and slogan competitions were also awarded prizes.
Volunteers from the World Nature Fund, including Swati Moghe, Ajay Mishra, Shashank Dubey, and others, were present. The NSS unit volunteers of Sarojini Naidu Government Girls College were guided by Ms. Manjula Vishwas and Ms. Kavita Singh. A total of 22 volunteers participated in this joint program.
University officials, staff, and a large number of students were present on the occasion, reaffirming their commitment to environmental protection.
