CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: “The Department of Environmental and Lake Sciences of Barkatullah University Bhopal organized a sensitization program on the occasion of World Environment Day. World Environment Day is celebrated every year with a specific theme. This year’s theme is ‘Ecosystem Restoration, Desertification, and Drought Resilience.’

The department informed the farmers of Gram Panchayat Kanhasaiya, Fanda about this year’s theme and the causes and measures for land restoration. They also explained the land treatment for ‘desertification and drought resilience’ in simple language. The program was attended by Mr. Kranti Antar Lodhi, the Sarpanch, Santosh Pal, the Secretary, and farmers.

The program was organized with the participation of Abhilasha Bhavsar, Head of the Department of Environmental and Lake Sciences, and the department’s students.”
