CNN Central News & Network-ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: Various service, public participation and social welfare activities will be organised in all districts of Bhopal division under the “Seva Sankalp Abhiyan” on the occasion of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s birthday and his completion of 25 years of public service in public life.
At a review meeting of the Urban Administration and Development Department, Divisional Commissioner Sharma took information about the activities to be organised in all districts and directed the CMOs of urban bodies to hold dignified programmes. Joint Commissioner Vinod Yadav, Deputy Director, Urban Bodies, Nilesh Dubey, and CMOs of urban bodies from all districts of the division joined the meeting through video conference.
To ensure the availability of clean drinking water in urban bodies of all districts of the division, inspection of all water bodies should be ensured. Urban bodies and the Health Department should work in coordination, carry out area-wise monitoring with special attention to drinking water-related diseases, and ensure regular cleaning of drinking water, pipelines and sources on priority.
The Prime Minister SVANidhi scheme has proved to be a boon for street vendors, including rehri-patri vendors. Therefore, all officers should coordinate with the lead bank officer at the district level, prepare a checklist of documents required for loan applications, and run a special drive to ensure approval and disbursal of the maximum number of cases. Along with this, urban bodies and banks at the local level should review Prime Minister SVANidhi scheme cases one day every week. All bodies in the division have been asked to ensure 70 per cent achievement of the target by September and 100 per cent achievement by December.
Divisional Commissioner Sharma said that under the government’s Amrit Harit Abhiyan, plantation work in all urban bodies of the division should be completed as per target within the stipulated time limit, and the information should be entered on the Meri LiFE portal.
At the meeting, Deputy Director, Urban Administration, Nilesh Dubey said that under the Seva Se Sankalp campaign in all districts of Bhopal division, blood donation camps are being organised by urban bodies in coordination with urban health centres, civil hospitals and medical colleges. Instructions were also issued at the meeting to complete construction works related to parks, anganwadis and other toilets in urban bodies under all districts of the division by September.
Instructions were further given to immediately and satisfactorily resolve CM Helpline complaints related to services such as water, electricity and cleanliness in all districts of the division, and to dispose of department-related complaints pending for more than 50 days.
