CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal : On the occasion of Paramhans Sant Hirdaram Sahib’s 119th birth anniversary, the newly constructed grand building of Seva Sadan Eye Hospital, located near Airport Road in Gandhinagar, was inaugurated.

The ceremony was graced by Sant Siddh Bhauji, Member of Parliament Alok Sharma, MLA Sudesh Rai, MLA Bhagwandas Sabnani, Mayor Malti Rai, along with many public representatives and donors.

In his address, Trust President Sant Siddh Bhauji stated that the new hospital building will play a crucial role in providing eye care services to nearly 20 million people across 12 districts of the state and surrounding regions. He remarked, “Wealth grows through donation, and service multiplies through service.”

MP Alok Sharma and MLA Sudesh Rai praised the efforts of Seva Sadan, highlighting that citizens of Sehore and other districts will also benefit. MLA Bhagwandas Sabnani emphasized that Santji has made invaluable contributions not only in the field of eye care but also in blood donation, women’s literacy, drinking water, naturopathy, and service to the underprivileged.

Mayor Malti Rai announced that the Municipal Corporation has approved ₹26 lakh for the construction of the approach road to the hospital. On this occasion, Sant Siddh Bhauji, Mayor Rai, and MLA Sabnani also carried out tree plantation on the premises.

Among the donors, Surendra Upadhyay (London) and Kumar Kevalramani (Mumbai) credited Santji’s inspiration for their contribution to the establishment of the hospital. Dr. Upadhyay remarked, “The greatest donation in life is eye donation.”

In the welcome speech, Mahesh Dayaramani, Secretary of Jeev Sewa Sansthan, informed that Seva Sadan Eye Hospital has provided eye care services to more than 4.5 million people so far.

Finally, Medical Director Dr. Prerna Upadhyay expressed gratitude to all donors and dignitaries, noting that the new building will become a new hallmark of advanced healthcare facilities in the capital and nearby regions.
