CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: The seven-day special camp of the National Service Scheme (NSS) unit of Rabindranath Tagore University concluded with a focus on social concerns and innovative initiatives. The closing ceremony was held at Government Secondary School, Hinotia, where the University Registrar, Sangita Johri, inaugurated the Santosh Choubey Library and Volleyball Ground for the physical and mental empowerment of villagers. The inauguration took place in the presence of Chief Guest Anant Kumar Saxena (Program Coordinator, Barkatullah University, Bhopal), Special Guest R. S. Narwaria (District Organizer, Bhopal), and senior litterateur Sudhir Kumar Sharma.

This initiative aims to promote a culture of learning among children and villagers and encourage physical fitness through sports activities. On this occasion, the volunteers also formed the Tagore Teaching Club, under which the university’s NSS volunteers will provide free weekly coaching to students in the village under the Navodaya Vidyalaya scheme.

During the camp, the university identified a drinking water problem at the school and provided a water tank with a capacity of 1,000 liters. The tank was presented by Registrar Sangita Johri, Deputy Registrar Pooja Chaturvedi, and Dean of Student Welfare Sheetal Gulati.

Chief Guest Anant Kumar Saxena praised the university’s initiative as a model for problem-solving. Sudhir Kumar Sharma inspired the youth to remain positive even in adverse circumstances. R. S. Narwaria appreciated the entire team, including Program Officers Rekha Gupta and Gabbar Singh. Sangita Johri assured that the university will continue to actively address societal needs through its students in the future.
