CNN Central News & Network-ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: The School of Education and Training at Scope Global Skills University (SGSU) organised an “Eco-Friendly Ganesh Workshop” on the university campus. The workshop aimed to develop awareness among students about the environment, creative expression, cultural values and an understanding of a sustainable lifestyle.
During the workshop, students prepared eco-friendly idols of Lord Ganesh using natural and environmentally safe materials. Through the activity, students not only explored art and creativity but also understood how traditional festivals can be linked with the values of nature conservation and responsible citizenship.
The workshop was conducted by Supriti Chaturvedi and Arjun Kumar Singh. Sanju Sharma, head of the School of Education and Training, and Nitin Kumar Dhimol, NSS officer of SGSU, played an important role in coordinating the event and its arrangements. Vinita Choubey also gave her time to encourage the students and contributed to the success of the workshop.
Students participated enthusiastically and expressed their creativity through the making of the idols. The event provided students an opportunity for experiential learning, in which the learning process moved beyond classroom boundaries and was connected with direct activity and creative experimentation.
The university expressed gratitude to all coordinators, teachers, administrative and support staff, the NSS team and participating students for the successful organisation of the programme. Special thanks were also expressed for the guidance and support of SGSU Vice-Chancellor Vijay Singh, Chancellor Siddharth Chaturvedi, Registrar Sitesh Sinha and Dean Students’ Welfare Vinod Sharma.
