CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: The School of Humanities at Scope Global Skills University (SGSU), Bhopal organized a special workshop titled “Emotional Intelligence: The Hidden Skillset” for the holistic development of students. The objective of the workshop was to foster emotional awareness, self-regulation, empathy, and effective communication skills among students.
The program was graced by the presence of Chief Guest Bhaskar Indrakanti, EQ Coach (ICF), educationist, and Founder & Director of Orange Owl; Dr. Siddharth Chaturvedi, Chancellor of Scope Global Skills University; Dr. Vijay Singh, Vice-Chancellor; Dr. Sitesh Kumar Sinha, Registrar; Dr. Vinod Kumar Gupta, Dean Academics; Dr. Vinod Kumar Sharma, Dean Student Welfare; and Dr. Nitin Kumar Dhimole, NSS Officer.

During the workshop, special emphasis was laid on emotional management, self-awareness, social behavior, and improving interpersonal relationships. The sessions were designed to be interactive and practical, with students actively participating through group activities, discussions, and self-reflection exercises.
The keynote speaker, Bhaskar Indrakanti, explained the importance of emotional intelligence in a simple and effective manner using real-life examples and interactive techniques. His practical approach helped students understand the relevance of EQ in both academic and personal life.
On this occasion, Dr. Siddharth Chaturvedi, Chancellor of SGSU, stated that in today’s competitive era, not only academic knowledge but emotional intelligence is also the key to success. Such programs help in shaping students into confident, sensitive, and responsible citizens.

Vice-Chancellor Dr. Vijay Singh and Registrar Dr. Sitesh Kumar Sinha, while sharing their views, emphasized that emotional intelligence not only enables students to make better decisions but also strengthens their leadership abilities, teamwork, and social behavior. They described such initiatives as an essential part of modern education.
The workshop was conducted by Yashi Saxena, Assistant Professor, School of Humanities.
The program created a positive and empathetic learning environment for students, enabling them to better understand and apply emotional intelligence skills in their daily lives.
