CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: The Computer Science Department of Sant Hirdaram Girls College, Bhopal, successfully organized a quiz and debate competition on the occasion of World Computer Literacy Day. The objective of this program was to promote digital awareness and critical thinking skills among the students.

The theme of the quiz competition was “Digital Skills Towards an Inclusive Future,” while the debate competition focused on the topic “Does AI harm real thinking ability, or does it improve it?” Students from various departments participated enthusiastically and showcased excellent analytical and oratory skills.

In the debate competition, the first prize was won by Bhoomi Durgani, the second prize by Yashika Paryani, the third prize by Nikita Motwani, and the consolation prize was awarded to Ranu.

The competition was judged by Geetanshi Buttan, Head of the Department of Languages, and Deepa Mishra, whose expertise ensured fair and comprehensive evaluation.

The college administration appreciated this initiative, stating that the Computer Science Department’s effort to promote digital literacy and encourage students through academic competitions is highly commendable.

The program concluded with appreciation for the organizing team and participants, further strengthening SHGC’s commitment to empowering young women through quality education and skill development.
