CNN Central News & Network-ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: A dignified “Shiksha Samvad” programme was organised at Barkatullah University, Bhopal, focusing on the overall development of higher education, quality enhancement and various issues related to student welfare.
Madhya Pradesh Higher Education Minister Inder Singh Parmar was the chief guest at the programme. The event was chaired by university Vice-Chancellor Vivek Sharma. Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad regional organisation minister Chetas Sukhadia attended as the special guest.
In his address, Higher Education Minister Inder Singh Parmar said that providing students with quality, employment-oriented and innovation-based education through the effective implementation of the National Education Policy is the state government’s top priority. Linking Indian knowledge and culture directly with science, the minister presented his views. Interacting with students, he listened to their suggestions and ideas and stressed making higher education more effective, inclusive and future-oriented. Questions asked by teachers, officers, employees, research scholars and students on various issues related to the university and the education sector were answered with seriousness and a positive approach.

In his presidential address, Vice-Chancellor Vivek Sharma said Barkatullah University is continuously committed to the all-round development of students, research, innovation and academic excellence. He described programmes such as Shiksha Samvad as an effective medium for meaningful dialogue between students and the government.
Special guest Chetas Sukhadia called upon students to play an active role in nation-building and highlighted the importance of education, values and social responsibility. The programme coordinator was Prof. Neeraj Gaur.
