CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: Under the direction of Bhopal Collector Kaushlendra Vikram Singh, the Food Safety Administration is conducting training and awareness programs across various areas of the city to educate street food vendors on maintaining hygiene and preparing quality food in clean environments.

Food Safety Officer Devendra Kumar Dubey informed that on Thursday, a program was organized at Hawkers’ Corner in Shivaji Nagar, where food business operators were educated about the controlled and limited use of Monosodium Glutamate (commonly known as Ajinomoto), vinegar, artificial flavors, and synthetic colors. They were also advised not to reuse oil more than three times for frying snacks like samosas and kachoris, and to wear clean attire including gloves and aprons while preparing food.

As per the Collector’s instructions, similar training sessions on food safety awareness will also be conducted in colleges and schools across the city.
