CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: The Honourable Minister of Communications and Development of the North Eastern Region, Shri Jyotiraditya M. Scindia, has announced the formation of a new Shivpuri Postal Division within the Madhya Pradesh Postal Circle.
The Department of Posts, India, has created the Shivpuri Postal Division by combining Shivpuri district (previously under Guna Division) and Sheopur district (previously under Morena Division).
Under this new division, there will be:
01 Head Post Office
26 Sub Post Offices
340 Branch Post Offices
The establishment of this division will enable more efficient operation, improved monitoring, and enhanced delivery of postal and citizen-centric services.
This has been a long-standing demand of the local residents, which has now been fulfilled by the Honourable Minister of Communications.
The formation of the Shivpuri Division is expected to boost regional trade and e-commerce in both Shivpuri and Sheopur districts. It will also contribute to fulfilling the Government of India’s goal of financial inclusion in rural areas.
With the creation of this division, residents of the region will now have easier access to modernized postal services including Post Office Savings Bank, Postal Life Insurance, Registered Mail, Speed Post, and Parcel services within the Shivpuri Division itself.
It is noteworthy that this administrative change will allow postal customers to meet their needs more conveniently, including faster settlement of claims under schemes like the Post Office Savings Bank and Postal Life Insurance.
