CNN Central News & Network-ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: Shivraj Singh Chouhan reached out to affected people from Hajipur to Bhagalpur and Munger, carrying out ground inspections of relief camps and embankments.
Reflecting the sensitivity of the double-engine government, the Union Minister and the Chief Minister entered the floodwaters, shared the pain of affected people and boosted their morale.
“The Modi government stands with Bihar in this hour of crisis. We will leave no stone unturned in providing relief to flood-affected people,” Shivraj Singh Chouhan said.
Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan reached ground zero by boat, tractor and helicopter. Speaking to flood-affected people, he said, “Do not worry, we are with you.”
Banana and maize crops have been submerged and lakhs of people have been affected. Chouhan said the central and state governments would work together to provide every possible help to bring people out of the crisis.
Shivraj Singh Chouhan said the people of Bihar could be assured that, along with immediate relief, full cooperation would be extended after assessments by the NDRF and the central team.
“The central government stands firmly with every farmer and every flood-affected person in Bihar. Concrete steps will be taken for rehabilitation and compensation,” Shivraj Singh Chouhan said.
