CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: Union Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan Inspects Redevelopment Work at Ganj Basoda Railway Station
Union Minister of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare, and Minister of Panchayat and Rural Development, Shivraj Singh Chouhan, visited Ganj Basoda Railway Station today to inspect the ongoing redevelopment under the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme.
During his visit, the minister reviewed various aspects of the station, including the station premises, passenger waiting areas, under-construction structures, and modern amenities. He emphasized the need to ensure both the pace and quality of the work.
Chouhan instructed officials to redevelop the station with world-class aesthetics and passenger-friendly facilities, so that travelers enjoy a premium, seamless experience. He also directed that the station must be kept clean, secure, and accessible for differently-abled individuals.
ressing satisfaction over the progress of the ongoing works, Chouhan stated that the redevelopment would benefit the entire region. He advised that all tasks be completed with transparency and within the stipulated timeline.
Present on the occasion were Minister-in-Charge Lakhan Patel, MLA Hari Singh Raghuwanshi, Bhupesh Tandon, Hari Sapre, as well as several public representatives and railway officials.
Additional Divisional Railway Manager Mrs. Rashmi Diwakar provided details of the upcoming passenger-centric facilities, such as modern ticket counters, lifts, escalators, foot overbridges, and an attractive station façade.
The inspection generated considerable excitement among regular passengers, many of whom interacted with the minister and shared their views on station development.
This visit is expected to give a fresh momentum to railway infrastructure development in the region.
