CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: Union Minister for Agriculture & Farmers’ Welfare and Rural Development, Shivraj Singh Chouhan, addressed youth at a significant program titled Yuvjan Samvad held at ITM University Gwalior today.

During his address, the Union Minister praised Gwalior, saying that the city resonates with the melodies of Tansen and is truly remarkable. Its historic forts narrate proud tales of the past, and this very land gave the nation a statesman like Atal Ji.

Encouraging the youth, he said, “My sons and daughters, think big… not just for yourselves, but for the nation. Everyone lives for themselves—even insects, animals, and birds. But a truly meaningful life is one lived for others. When you work for the welfare of others, your personality grows stronger and greater.”

Paying tribute to the dedication and hard work of farmers, the Union Minister stated that farmers are not just providers of food but providers of life itself. Serving farmers, he said, is equivalent to worshipping God for him. With this spirit, he is working with full commitment in the Agriculture Ministry.

Administering an oath to protect the environment to those present at the program, he emphasized that planting a tree is the greatest service to the world. He said that if people plant a tree and upload its photo, that alone would be a sufficient welcome for him. He made it clear that he does not wish to be welcomed with flowers or garlands. Highlighting the importance of trees, he said that a single tree makes the earth greener, protects the environment, and sustains all living beings.

Before addressing the gathering, the Union Minister planted a sapling in the ITM University campus as part of his daily pledge of tree plantation.
