CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: Grand Inauguration of International Research and Innovation Conference ‘Shodh Shikhar 2025’ at Rabindranath Tagore University

The International Research and Innovation Conference ‘Shodh Shikhar 2025’, organized by Rabindranath Tagore University and its partner institutions, was grandly inaugurated. This year’s conference was centered around the theme “Viksit Bharat – Naya Bharat” (Developed India – New India).

The event was graced by Director Atul Kothari, National Secretary, Shiksha Sanskriti Utthan Nyas, as the Chief Guest, and featured Dr. Namrata Pathak (Scientist-G, Ministry of Science & Technology), Arvind Ranade (National Innovation Foundation), and Amitabh Mishra (DGM & Head, Bio-Pharma, NRDC) as Special Guests. The program was presided over by Chancellor Santosh Choubey of Rabindranath Tagore University.

The program began with an introductory address by Director Rachna Chaturvedi, who explained that ‘Shodh Shikhar’ is a unique initiative aimed at connecting youth with national development agendas like Aatmanirbhar Bharat through research and innovation.

During the conference, several students and researchers presented their research projects and engaged in discussions on various aspects of science and technology.

Director Amitabh Mishra emphasized the importance of innovation, citing the development of a thermometer by Hicks Company tailored to societal needs. He noted that innovations not only advance technology but can also bring positive change across all areas of society.

Director Arvind Ranade highlighted the government’s role in ‘Vision 2047’, praising Rabindranath Tagore University for taking significant steps in this direction. He appreciated the university’s growing role in empowering India through education, research, and innovation.

Director Namrata Pathak discussed the contributions of the Department of Science & Technology (DST) in inspiring young scientists and providing them with opportunities in research and innovation. She emphasized that these programs will benefit the country significantly in the future.

Chief Guest Atul Kothari stressed the importance of mother tongue in research, encouraging scholars to think and express their ideas in their native language for greater clarity and precision.

In his closing remarks, Chancellor Santosh Choubey praised the university’s contributions to academics and research. He highlighted initiatives like the Atal Incubation Centre and the Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Kendra, which are empowering youth with employment and entrepreneurship opportunities.

The conference concluded with the launch of the journal ‘Electroniki’ and the book ‘Big Country, Little Business.’

The event marked a major milestone for higher education and research in Madhya Pradesh, showcasing the state’s growing emphasis on innovation and quality education.
