CNN Central News & Network-ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: Divisional Commissioner Karmveer Sharma has directed revenue officers to give priority to the disposal of revenue cases and warned that no negligence in this work will be tolerated, failing which action will be taken. Sharma issued these directions on Monday during a review meeting held in the conference hall of the Commissioner’s office. Additional Commissioner Shivraj Singh Verma, Joint Commissioner Development Vinod Yadav, Deputy Commissioner Revenue Smt. Bharti Devi Mishra, and all branch in-charge officers and employees were present at the meeting.
During the review of revenue case disposal, Sharma expressed strong displeasure over the status of mutation cases in Bhopal district, where 28,365 of 45,964 cases have been disposed of while 15,599 remain pending. He directed that show-cause notices be issued to the concerned tehsildars. In Raisen district, 12,734 of 14,229 registered cases have been disposed of, while 1,495 are still pending. In Rajgarh district, 16,568 of 20,263 registered cases have been disposed of, while 3,695 remain pending. In Sehore, 12,633 of 15,402 registered cases have been resolved, while 2,769 are pending. In Vidisha district, 15,022 of 18,883 registered cases have been disposed of, while 3,861 remain pending. Similarly, in partition cases in Bhopal district, 1,199 of 1,752 registered cases have been disposed of, while 553 cases are pending.
Sharma directed the Deputy Commissioner Revenue to issue show-cause notices to tehsildars in all districts of the division who have shown negligence in mutation, partition and demarcation cases that have crossed the prescribed time limit. While reviewing the CM Helpline, he also directed officials to speak to beneficiaries whose complaints in all districts of the division have been force-closed. Sharma instructed officials to use an online system for administrative tightening, transparency in office work, development of a time-bound and excellent work culture, and regular review of development works being carried out under the division. He stressed developing a result-oriented working system.
At the meeting, the Divisional Commissioner took detailed information on work from all branch in-charge officers and directed them to create a regular monitoring system for better output within the stipulated time through innovations. He also called for micro-planning to eliminate departmental pendency and directed that the e-office system be implemented 100 percent in the office. He said a review system should be created to ensure that complaints are resolved within the time limit. He also directed the digitisation of revenue records of Bhopal division and the preservation of record room documents in plastic boxes.
Sharma said developing an excellent work culture and promoting innovations with technology is the need of the hour. He said all departments should ensure achievement of targets in a time-bound manner by conducting regular reviews and setting their own work priorities. All officers and employees should prepare a clear action plan for better performance in their departments and carry out regular monitoring accordingly. He said quick resolution of public complaints is the responsibility of the administration. Districts should adopt a work culture based on better coordination, regular review, time-bound implementation and the highest priority to public interest. All officers must contribute fully to good governance by working with sensitivity, accountability and transparency.
