CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: Senior poet and storyteller Santosh Choubey, Chancellor of Rabindranath Tagore University, has been honored with the Acharya Prafulla Chandra Ray Science Promotion Award for his unparalleled contribution to the development of science through scientific writing and literary activities in Hindi. This award was presented by the Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh on Tuesday during the National Hindi Science Conference 2024, organized by NISPR and CSIR-AMPRI. The ceremony highlighted that Choubey’s work in Hindi has significantly simplified the understanding of complex scientific concepts for the general public.

Active for five decades in literature, art, culture, education, technology, and skill development, Choubey has established a distinct national and international identity through his tireless creative efforts. Selected for the Indian Engineering Service and the Indian Administrative Service, Choubey is currently the Director of the ‘Vishwa Rang’ Festival, Chancellor of Rabindranath Tagore University and Dr. C.V. Raman University, and President of AISECT Network, State Resource Center, Vanmali Srijan Peeth, and Tagore International Literature and Art Center.

Notably, Choubey is continuously active at both national and international levels through his writing and various literary and cultural activities for the global promotion of Hindi literature. He also contributes significantly to the fields of science, technology, and skill development. Over the past fifty years, he has established a network of more than 40,000 training and service centers across India, participating in major initiatives such as Digital India, Skill India, and Startup India, providing employment to thousands.

A poet, storyteller, novelist, editor, and translator, Santosh Choubey has gained a distinctive global recognition for his innovative creative projects and innovations. In 2019, he initiated the international ‘Vishwa Rang’ festival in Bhopal, aimed at promoting Hindi language and Indian culture, which now has over 50 member countries.

Recently, he was honored with the prestigious international ‘Bharat Gaurav Award-2024’ in France. Previously, he received the “Vatayan UK International Summit Award 2023” in London and the ‘Lifetime Achievement Award-2023’ from a prestigious institution in the United States.

Santosh Choubey has been awarded the Dushyant Kumar Award by the Madhya Pradesh Sahitya Parishad for his poetry (Kahin Aur Sach Honge Sapne), the Spandan Criticism Award for criticism (Kala Ki Sangat), the award from the Madhya Pradesh Rashtra Bhasha Prachar Samiti for translation (Moscow Diary), and the Shailesh Matiyani and International Valley of Words Awards for his novel (Jaltarang). He has also received the National Dushyant and Shivmangal Singh Suman Decorations for his overall literary contributions.
