CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: “The prestigious ‘Shatabdi Samman–2023’ of Shri Madhya Bharat Hindi Sahitya Samiti will be awarded to Santosh Choubey, a senior poet and storyteller, Director of Vishwarang, and Chancellor of Rabindranath Tagore University, Bhopal. Santosh Choubey will be honored with the ‘Shatabdi Samman–2023’ in a grand and dignified ceremony to be organized by Shri Madhya Bharat Hindi Sahitya Samiti soon. On this occasion, a cash prize of one lakh rupees and a certificate of honor will be presented.
Santosh Choubey has established a unique identity at both national and international levels through his tireless creative efforts in literature, arts, culture, education, technology, and skill development for over five decades. Selected for the Indian Engineering Service and the Indian Administrative Service, Santosh Choubey is currently the Director of the ‘Vishwarang’ festival, Chancellor of Rabindranath Tagore University and Dr. C.V. Raman University, and President of the AISECT Network, State Resource Center, Vanmali Srijan Peeth, and Tagore International Literature and Art Center.
Notably, Santosh Choubey is continuously active at national and international levels through various literary and cultural activities, as well as writing, for the global promotion of Hindi literature and language. He is also making significant contributions in the fields of science, technology, and skill development. Over the past fifty years, he has established a network of more than forty thousand training and service centers across India, which, in addition to providing employment to thousands, participate in important initiatives like Digital India, Skill India, and Startup India.
Santosh Choubey, a poet, storyteller, novelist, editor, and translator, has a unique global identity for his innovative creative projects and innovations. He started the international ‘Vishwarang’ festival in 2019 from Bhopal, which now has over 50 member countries, aiming to promote Hindi language and Indian culture.
Recently, he was honored with the prestigious international ‘Bharat Gaurav Samman–2024’ in France. Previously, he was awarded the ‘Vatayana UK International Summit Award 2023’ in London and the ‘Lifetime Achievement Award 2023’ by a prestigious institution in the USA.
Santosh Choubey has received the Dushyant Kumar Award from the Madhya Pradesh Sahitya Parishad for his poetry (Kahin Aur Sach Honge Sapne), the Spandan Criticism Award for his criticism (Kala Ki Sangat), the Madhya Pradesh Rashtra Bhasha Prachar Samiti Award for his translation (Moscow Diary), and the Shailesh Matiyani and International Valley of Words Awards for his novel (Jaltarang). He has also been honored with the National Dushyant and Shivmangal Singh Suman Awards for his overall literary contributions.”
