CNN Central News & Network-ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: The oath-taking ceremony of the newly elected Student Council was held at Sant Hirdaram Girls College, Bhopal, on the occasion of the blessing ceremony for first-year students in the presence of Revered Siddh Bhau.
Revered Siddh Bhau, President, SHKES; Hero Gyanchandani, Director, SHGC; Principal Dr. Dalima Parwani; faculty members and students were present at the programme. The event began with the lighting of the lamp and garlanding.
After this, the newly elected members of the Student Council took the oath and resolved to discharge their responsibilities with dedication and follow the ideals of discipline, cooperation and leadership.
In her welcome address, Principal Dr. Dalima Parwani expressed gratitude for the constant guidance, support and inspiring encouragement provided by Revered Siddh Bhau and Hero Gyanchandani. Referring to the ideal life values and standards of a good lifestyle outlined by Revered Siddh Bhau, she encouraged the students and said that true leadership is that in which a person inspires others to do good work through conduct and behaviour.
She said leadership is not merely about attaining a position, but about discharging one’s duties with responsibility, discipline and a spirit of service.
Addressing the students, Revered Siddh Bhau said that undergraduate studies pave the way towards higher positions and major achievements in life. For this, he said, it is essential to remain physically and mentally healthy. He advised the students to always remain grateful to God, parents and teachers in order to achieve success in life, and gave the message of adopting good values, positive thinking and a disciplined lifestyle.
During the ceremony, Revered Siddh Bhau interacted with the students through eight questions and introduced himself to them. The students answered the questions with promptness, confidence and grace.
On the occasion, some students presented bhajans and songs, making the programme emotional and joyful. The event gave students an opportunity to understand, along with education, the importance of values, health, gratitude, discipline and leadership.
