CNN Central News & Network-ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: Silver prices have once again witnessed sharp volatility. After an increase of ₹1,891 per kilogram in the market, silver prices are reported to have reached about ₹2.36 lakh per kg. However, according to the latest market data available on September 9, 2026, different sources are quoting silver prices at around ₹2.39 lakh to ₹2.50 lakh per kg.

The rise in silver prices is being influenced by developments in both the domestic and international markets. Globally, factors such as geopolitical tensions, expectations around US interest rates, movement in the dollar and industrial demand are affecting precious metal prices. Apart from jewellery, silver is also used in electronics, solar energy and several industrial sectors.

According to market experts, despite the rise in silver, prices may continue to remain volatile in the days ahead. Investors and buyers should therefore check the latest local market rate, purity, GST and other charges before making purchases.
