CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: On the auspicious occasion of Cheti Chand, the grand festival of the Sindhi community marking the birth anniversary of Lord Jhulelal, several vibrant celebrations were held across the city. The festivities began early in the morning with Prabhat Pheri (devotional procession), followed by musical programs and community feasts (Bhandara) to honor their revered deity, Lord Jhulelal.
A magnificent event was organized by the Pujya Sindhi Panchayat, Airport Road, where BJP State General Secretary and MLA Bhagwandas Sabnani participated with his entire family. He offered floral tributes, bowed at the feet of Lord Jhulelal, performed Aarti, and prayed for the happiness and peace of all. Immersed in devotion, he also joined the cultural musical performances and danced to the traditional Sindhi folk dance “Chej”.
On this occasion, Director Sabnani emphasized,
“India is the only country in the world where people of all religions and communities are given equal respect, and everyone celebrates each other’s festivals in unity. ‘Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam’ – the world is one family – is a foundational value of Sanatan Dharma and a gift of our great nation.”
He extended warm wishes to all attendees and prayed that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, India reaches new heights that every citizen dreams of.
The event witnessed large participation from the Sindhi community, who came together to worship Lord Jhulelal and greet one another with New Year wishes on this sacred day.
