A two-day international web conference on the theme “Integrating Skill into University Curriculum: Global to Local Perspective” was jointly organized by Rabindranath Tagore University, Raisen (Madhya Pradesh) and Kavi Kulguru Kalidas Sanskrit University, Ramtek (Maharashtra). The event was conducted under the recently signed Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the two universities.

Conference convener Kiran Mishra informed that over 250 research papers were received from various countries including Uzbekistan, Oman, Samarkand, and India, out of which 125 papers were selected. The conference framework was presented by Dr. Brajesh Kumar Sharma, Head of the Education Department, Rabindranath Tagore University.

In the inaugural session, Dr. Aditi Chaturvedi, Pro-Chancellor of Rabindranath Tagore University, shared a global perspective and emphasized that such events expose students to new ideas. Dr. Sanjeev Kumar Gupta, Pro-Vice Chancellor of the university, stated that this skill development-focused conference would contribute to the holistic development of students. Dr. Sangeeta Johri, Registrar, called it a powerful platform for learning for the new generation.

Prof. Hare Ram Tripathi, Pro-Vice Chancellor of KKSU, stressed that skill-based education is the need of the hour and described the conference as an international forum for exchanging ideas.

The keynote speaker on the first day, Dr. Abek Kalendrov (Mamoon University, Uzbekistan), emphasized the role of language and stated that language skills are essential for effective communication. Dr. Kalyan Chaturvedi (Mamoon University) remarked that integrating skill into university curricula is a demand of the time. Fifty research papers were presented on the first day. Dr. Nilesh Sharma, Dean, Law Department, delivered the vote of thanks.

On the second day, keynote speaker Dr. Anil Kumar (Director, KKSU) highlighted the importance of entrepreneurship and employment-oriented courses in universities. Chief guest Prof. Rajdapoava Faruza Abdullayeva (Urgench) emphasized the need to promote excellence. Seventy-five research papers were presented on the second day.

The conference was hosted by Dr. Naiz Jameer (HoD, Law Department) and coordinated by Dr. Rekha Gupta (Professor, Education Department). In the closing session, Dr. Pooja Chaturvedi, Deputy Registrar (Academic) delivered the vote of thanks.

More than 180 scholars and researchers participated in this two-day international conference, along with active involvement from university students and faculty members.
