CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: Faculty members and students from the Physics Department of the Institute for Excellence in Higher Education (IEHE), Bhopal, conducted an academic tour at NITTTR Bhopal. As part of the tour, the students visited 11 high-tech laboratories in the Science Department and the Center of Excellence at the institute.
Director of the institute, Prof. C.C. Tripathi, emphasized that India’s dependence on foreign companies in the semiconductor sector is significant, leading to delays in importing essential goods for our industries. To reduce this dependency, India is moving towards becoming a semiconductor hub through the ‘Make in India’ initiative. In line with this vision, the institute has launched a Skilling Center for Outsourced Semiconductor Assembly and Test (OSAT).
Prof. P.K. Purohit, Dean of the Science Department, engaged in discussions with the students and remarked, “You are all fortunate to be studying at an excellent college. There are immense career opportunities in the field of physics today.” During the tour, the students had the opportunity to explore various laboratories and specialized research centers. This visit helped them gain practical knowledge and sparked their interest in research. The students also observed the facilities, equipment, and technical resources, which will inspire them to advance in their field of study.
Present during the visit were Sunil Mishra and Prof. Amit Jain from IEHE, along with Prof. K.K. Jain, Prof. Hussain Jeevakan, Prof. Basheerullah Sheikh, and Prof. A.K. Sarathe from the institute.
