CNN Central News and Network – ITDC India Express / ITDC News Bhopal The Skill India Digital Hub (SIDH), a platform launched to revolutionize India’s skill development, education, employment, and entrepreneurship ecosystem, has achieved a significant milestone with over 1 crore registrations, according to data from the National Skills Development Mission of India.
Key Achievements of SIDH:
- Registration Milestone: Over 1 crore registrations since its launch in September 2023.
- Digital Learning Impact:
- 1 crore minutes of digital learning catalogued.
- 3 crore minutes of e-learning completed.
- 12 lakh mobile app downloads.
- Diverse Courses Offered:
- 1,200 Academy courses and 1,000 self-paced courses.
- 2,700 National Skills Qualification Framework (NSQF) courses in partnership with 45 content providers.
- Opportunities Created:
- Over 12 lakh opportunities facilitated.
Inclusivity in Skilling:
The platform has enrolled nearly 5,000 senior learners (above 50 years of age) across 505 districts, providing courses in advanced technologies like Machine Learning (ML), Artificial Intelligence (AI), and Big Data.
Ministerial Updates:
Minister of State for Skill Development and Entrepreneurship Jayant Chaudhary, in a written reply to the Rajya Sabha, highlighted that by June 2024:
- 88 lakh candidates had registered on the platform.
- 9.59 lakh mobile app downloads were recorded.
- 7.63 lakh candidates were enrolled in online courses.
