CNN Central News & Network-ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: A social empowerment camp was organised in Kachhauna under the ‘Seva Sankalp Mahotsav’, benefiting 467 persons with disabilities and senior citizens. The camp focused on providing eligible beneficiaries with assistive devices to support mobility, daily activities and greater independence.

A total of 1,872 assistive devices worth ₹60.94 lakh were distributed among the beneficiaries during the programme. The initiative was aimed at connecting eligible persons with welfare support and ensuring that assistive equipment reaches those who require it.

The camp provided a platform for beneficiaries to receive support based on their assessed needs. Such camps play an important role in facilitating access to assistive equipment for persons with disabilities and senior citizens, particularly those who may face difficulties in obtaining such support independently.

The ‘Seva Sankalp Mahotsav’ is being organised through a range of public-service and welfare-oriented activities. Similar initiatives under the broader campaign have focused on connecting eligible citizens with government schemes and services.

The Kachhauna camp reflects the focus on social welfare and inclusion by bringing beneficiaries, officials and service providers together at a common platform. The distribution of the 1,872 devices is expected to provide practical assistance to the 467 beneficiaries covered during the event.
