CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: The Directorate of Urban Administration and Development has announced that special camps will be organized in all urban local bodies for the recovery of taxes and other revenues. During these special camps, citizens will be provided with the facility to make payments through online modes.
Urban Development and Housing Commissioner Sanket Bhondve has directed all urban local bodies to achieve their revenue collection targets promptly and within the stipulated time frame. He stated that no laxity in the recovery of pending taxes and fees will be tolerated, and all local bodies must ensure phased recovery in accordance with the prescribed percentage targets.
Commissioner Bhondve further emphasized that recovery proceedings should be conducted through digital platforms and that progress updates must be regularly uploaded on the official portal. All urban local bodies have been instructed to prepare an effective action plan and carry out a special drive, taking necessary administrative measures to achieve their targets within the set timeline.
