CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal : Special Health Checkup and Awareness Camp Organized at Sarojini Naidu Girls’ College under “Swasth Nari, Sashakt Parivar” Campaign
Under the “Swasth Nari, Sashakt Parivar” campaign, inaugurated by the Prime Minister from Bhaisola village, Dhar district, Madhya Pradesh, a special health checkup and awareness camp was organized at Sarojini Naidu Government Autonomous Girls’ College, Shivaji Nagar. This campaign will continue across the state until October 2, 2025.
During the camp, students and teachers were provided the facility to create Ayushman Bharat Digital Health IDs. The camp offered consultations and screenings for high blood pressure, diabetes, cancer, sickle cell anemia, adolescent nutrition, anemia awareness, and tuberculosis. In addition, a “Ask Freely” session was held, allowing participants to directly interact with experts and ask health-related questions.
The camp also promoted a healthy lifestyle through sports activities, Zumba sessions, and physical exercises. Voluntary blood donation facilities were made available for interested participants. The main objectives of the event were to increase health awareness, dispel myths, and encourage active community participation.
During the fortnight of the campaign, expert medical camps are being organized across the state at Ayushman Arogya Kendras, community health centers, civil hospitals, district hospitals, and private hospitals. Under the TB Mukt Bharat (TB-Free India) campaign, “Nikshay Mitras” have been selected to distribute food baskets to patients.
Several government departments are actively participating in this initiative, including the Department of Public Health and Medical Education, Women & Child Development, Panchayat & Rural Development, School Education, Higher Education, Technical Education, Sports & Youth Welfare, Public Relations, and Housing & Urban Development.
The campaign aims to raise awareness among women and families about adopting a healthy lifestyle and to ensure easy access to health services.
