CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: A special lecture on the topic ‘Actor and Acting’ was organized by the Department of Cinema Studies at Makhanlal Chaturvedi National University of Journalism and Communication in the Vivekananda Auditorium. The keynote speaker for the lecture was Kamna Pathak, a renowned actress from the TV serial ‘Happu Ki Ultan Paltan’.
The session was presided over by the university’s Vice-Chancellor, Professor K.G. Suresh. On this occasion, Professor Suresh said that cinema is an integral part of mass communication. He mentioned that the Department of Cinema Studies has been established in the university so that students can also excel in this field.
Actress Ms. Kamna Pathak said that whatever she is today is because of the theater. She stated that theater has changed her world. Kamna, who has made a household name for herself with the character of Rajjo, said that if students want to enter the field of acting, they must do theater.
Talking about comedy, she said that timing is very important in it. She noted that making someone laugh is very difficult. Expressing her love for challenges, Kamna said that an actor’s job is to convey their message to people. This special lecture was coordinated by Professor Pavitra Srivastava, Head of the Department of Cinema Studies. The program was conducted by Senior Assistant Professor Dr. Gajendra Singh Avasia. Heads of various departments, teachers, and students were present at the lecture.
